About this piece

A set of four vibrant neoclassical watercolour paintings.

Featuring views of four iconic Roman landmarks, these mixed media paintings are drawn with a fine ink pen giving incredible detail over a lively colour palette.

All captured in exceptional detail by a skilled, unknown artist during the Grand Tour era. Each vista has a vivid blue sky, tying the set together.

Each is mounted in a glazed frame, lightly gilded on the raised images. The mounts are cut to reveal handwritten titles of each location.
