A very wide George III pine fire surround with composition (Gesso) detailing. An original of the Georgian era, this traditional English fireplace is typical of styles of the period, the frieze embellished with a range of ornate details.

Musical instruments decorate the centre tablet including a harp, trumpets, flute and sheet music among oak leaves and wheat sheafs, while each end block is detailed with neoclassical urns and stylised dolphins.
