About this piece
back to topA 19th century Victorian wrought iron gate, dated to circa 1870.
With its wide construction, it would make for an excellent garden gate. The tight bars along the base are ideal for keeping small animals in (or out!). Above, an arched construction over dulled scrolled points repeats upwards in a pleasing symmetrical manner. The openness of the top section would allow for the perfect mix of security and transparency, perhaps maintaining a view into a sectional garden.
