A set of three 19th century oil paintings of the hours of night after Michelangelo Maestri (1741 – 1812).

These three mystical women are depictions of each hour of the night. From a wider set of six, each ethereal figure is posed as if dancing in the darkness.

The allegorical figures are after Raffaello Sanzio (Raphael), heavily inspired by antique frescoes found in Pompeii and Herculaneum.
