About this piece
back to topA 19th century oil painting of the entrance to the Venice Grand Canal after Francesco Guardi (1712 – 1793).
Within this bustling Continental School veduta, ships and gondolas surround the Venice customs house. To the left, known as the Punta della Dogana which stands before the Sant Maria della Salute church.
The canvas is stretched over a wooded frame in a traditional style.
Our display easel is not included, but it is the perfect way to display a frameless canvas, as if left in place by the artist.
