A 19th century oak frieze of a castle, dated to 1824. This spectacularly carved panel has scrolling foliage throughout, incorporating fruits, flowers and acorns. The centrepiece incorporates a highly detailed castle housed inside a shield. The finish has been stripped back to different extents, revealing layers of paints and gilding.
