This cast bronze sculpture of the Greek god Hermes, the God of boundaries, roads, travellers, merchants, thieves, athletes, shepherds, commerce, speed, cunning, language, oratory, wit, and messages.
The figure is modelled in a traditional contrapposto pose, dressed in a draping fabric off the shoulder, with a deep green patination throughout.
Heremes is identified by his winged sandals or Talaria, which allowed him to traverse great distances between realms.
