About this piece
back to topA 16th century hand carved English gothic tracery panel.
Possibly the front of a coffer or other decorative piece, this panel has dates to the reign of King Henry VIII.
Four symmetrical pierced foliate shapes, carved with great skill. The edges have repeating floral themes around the edge.
The piece resembles a church window and is edged with wood that would most likely been hidden within a wider frame.
The reverse has a hanging hook, ready to install.
