About this piece
back to topA set of 17 Georgian era wrought iron balustrades, dating from circa 1780. These are beautiful examples of early English ironwork, the balustrades of a matching scrolling design.
Most of the balustrades have a light surface rust finish throughout. They could be used in this way for a rustic look or alternatively sandblasted and painted for a more polished look.
All 17 balustrades are pictured. Some are cut to an angle; others have flat tops and various losses. Please study the photos.
Usable in a number of ways, these balustrades could be used to line a traditional balcony or repurposed within a garden scheme as a unique feature.
