At more than 470 years old, these panels are originals of the period offering a glimpse into the styles of 16th century England with their quality and design remaining.
Once architectural carvings later adapted into elegant wall decoration, each panel is carved with stylised flowers and thistle heads. Thought to symbolise the union of the house of York and Lancaster during the period.
Affixed with hanging hooks to the reverse, this charming pair of antique carved oak panels are ready for mounting on an interior wall, perhaps either side of a mantelpiece or doorway.
