About this piece
back to topAn intricately crafted and beautifully preserved large terracotta garden urn by Joseph Cliff & Sons, circa 1890. Standing proudly on a plinth, it looks striking amongst the gardens or courtyard of a country estate, the design instilling a sense of grandeur and majesty. It has a pale yellow colour and is highly detailed, decorated with a mysterious bearded mask on two sides, shell embellishments and wreaths to the base. Whether planted with flowers or used alone, this antique terracotta urn is a handsome object of statuary for traditionally styled gardens.
