About this piece
back to topThis elaborate set of tall antique Louis XVI style double doors are one of various sets reclaimed from the American Embassy in Paris.
Dating from circa 1870, these antique doors are generous in size, showcasing the grandeur and opulence of 19th century French interior design. Each door features ornate moulded flower embellishments alongside three raised and fielded panels to both sides. Parts of the original hardware is still present including an elaborate espagnolette handle. Suitable for interior use, these tall double doors will make impressive room dividing doors in a period townhouse or large property influenced by Louis and European styling.
