About this piece

An antique ecclesiastical stained glass window hanging depicting a bishop, circa 1890. Designed in a distinctive arched shape, this stained glass window panel resembles a small church window.

The bishop is dressed in blue with a long cloak called a cope around his shoulders, mitre on his head, holding a bible in his left hand and a crosier staff in his right. He stands before a backdrop of patterned red glass, surrounded by a further border of golden florets.

Complete with hook to the top, this stained glass is perfect for hanging in a window or in front of a light source where the colours will be brought to life.
