About our range

The former parish church at Glenlivet, Scotland was decorated with vibrant stained glass windows crafted by talented artist, Charles W. Florence.

A popular teacher, Florence was former Principal of Art at the high school in the burgh town of Buckie on the north Scottish coast. The stained glass window designs for the church at Glenlivet began as big charcoal cartoons that were later translated onto glass, cut and leaded by the artist himself.

While there is little historical information about Glenlivet Church, it is thought to originate from the 1820s and extensively altered in the later 19th century.

Now a private residence, the church was deconsecrated in the early 21st century and many of the original fittings removed, including the stained glass windows. We were fortunate enough to obtain five of these windows, all by Charles W. Florence, which form part of this stunning collection, characterised by their religious theme and vibrant stained glass colours.
