About this piece

An impressive and varied collection of 5 natural mineral specimens.

Each presented on exclusive custom display plinths, this set are a range of outstanding large cabinet specimens formed over millions of years, each with their own impressive colours, characteristics, and qualities.

Featuring in this striking collection is a vivid green amazonite, a brilliant cobalt displaying a lustre of various blues and purples and a charming aegirine and zircon.

An azurite and malachite specimen are also included; azurite is a soft, deep-blue copper mineral made by weathering of copper ore deposits. During the early 19th century, it was also known as chessylite, after the type found in Chessy-les-Mines near Lyon, France.

Combined with the green, bright polished lustre and banding of the malachite, this mineral has various layers of depth and texture.

This impressive group of mineral specimens have been hand-selected from various collections to create a unique set, ideal for use as natural sculpture in an interior.

Arranged in any formation, they make striking decorative pieces for a collector’s cabinet or sideboard, showcasing wondrous specimens of natural history.
