Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928)
This Scottish artist was both an architect and designer who made his mark in the stained glass industry and put Scotland on the map as a place of creativity, art, and design.
He was recognised for transforming the Glasgow School of Art, designing everything from the building to furniture and stained glass windows.
Mackintosh was known for blending geometric and organic forms, which later inspired many artists and continues to today.
Some of his more well known traditional designs include the Mackintosh Rose and the Four Squares. The defined edges and intricate arched lines to this panel are another recognisable Mackintosh design.
