About this piece
back to topAn antique Regency style compact cast iron fire grate with a gilt brass front. The shaped arched back plate is centred with a rosette, above a steel railed curved bar basket grate, which is supported by a pair of Egyptian sphinx on bracket feet. The polished steel shaped bars and tall fireback only add to its historical English unusual design, making it a stunning new element for a Georgian townhouse or country home.
A floral design can be spotted at the top of the fireback, with further foliage patterns on its fret.
