About this piece
back to topAn early 19th/late 20th century English lead garden cistern with Celtic knot embellishments impressed into all four sides.
Though there are no maker’s marks, this antique trough’s design is in the style of Arts and Crafts designer, Archibald Knox (1864-1933), who was employed by Liberty’s of London.
It is characterfully weathered throughout from exposure to the elements over many years, making a timeless decorative cistern or planter in any garden, contemporary or period.
