About this piece
back to topAn antique cast iron fire insert circa 1900 made by Thomas Elsley, British manufacturers of cast iron decorative works between 1882 and 1905. Stamped ‘T. Elsley’ to the reverse, this cast iron fire insert was reclaimed from a London townhouse. A handsome addition to fireplaces traditional and modern alike, it features a decoratively cast pattern of repeating circles with leaves to the outer edge and shaped horizontal bars between contrasting brass finials for a hint of grandeur.
