A late Victorian steel and engraved brass George III style fire grate made by Thomas Elsley, British manufacturers of cast iron decorative works between 1882 and 1905.

This impressive early 20th century fire grate will bring grandeur and style to any setting. It features an arched backplate depicting an urn and swags, surmounted by a pair of small urn finials, with a pierced and engraved apron. The grate is supported to the front by a pair of engraved and tapering standards, surmounted by a larger pair of urn finials, echoing the finials behind and creating a beautiful symmetry.
