An impressive pair of bronze lion statues in the manner of renowned neoclassical sculptor, Antonio Canova (1757-1822). Considered the greatest neoclassical sculptors of his time, Canova was celebrated for his magnificent sculpting abilities and talent in marble. Cast in bronze, these statues are scale versions inspired by the neoclassical sculptor’s marble Canova Lions that he crafted for the tomb of Pope Clement XIII in the Vatican City during the late 18th century.

Suitable for interior or exterior use, these bronze lion statues make a striking pair either side of a staircase, archway or entrance. Each lies in a recumbent pose as if sleeping and has a beautiful bronze patina that suits a wide range of interior and garden schemes.
