About this piece
back to topThis old antique arched pine door is a glimpse into late 19th century England. It is over 140 years old and reminds one of an entrance to a historic church or ancient English castle. Beautifully weathered by the ages, the front is constructed in a vertical plank formation with just one of its original strap hinges. The back features ledged and braced construction forming a cross and an original working bolt. With its aged character and timeworn appearance, this antique arched door makes a character feature for a period country cottage or barn conversion. Alternatively, it could be used outdoors, located among trees and shrubbery as the entrance to secret garden.
