17th Century Carved Oval Marble Relief. A relief of a female head and shoulders, carved in statutory marble and displayed on a custom stand. This style of headdress and Ruff were particularly fashionable during the 16th and 17th centuries. We also have a marble plaque depicting a male available here.

Good structural condition. Chisel marks can be seen on the back of the plaque. There is light weathering and minor surface cracks and wear to the front. The plaque is mounted onto a bespoke steel stand.
Wear consistent with age and use. Minor Losses, scuffs, and scratches.
